Title:Theoretical inquiries beyond the Standard Model
Principal Investigators: K, Matchev, P, Ramond, P. Sikivie, W. Xue
University of Florida, Gainesville, FL
Elementary particle theory and phenomenology at the University of Florida comprises the research activities of K. Matchev, P. Ramond, P. Sikivie, and W. Xue. The Particle Theory Group conducts research at the forefront of high energy particle and astroparticle physics. The group covers a broad range of research topics from fundamental theoretical issues to areas of immediate phenomenological importance, including, but not limited to: quantum information science, new physics model building, dark matter theory and phenomenology, and collider phenomenology. The group also explores modern applications of machine learning and quantum computing for data analysis and statistical inference. The proposed theoretical research will result in a deeper understanding of the fundamental particles and forces, and in finding new directions for experimental exploration. The theory group also provides graduate and postdoctoral research training for the next generation of scientists.
